Variety is the spice of life, and the same can be said when it comes to choosing the right verb for your story.
Utilizing a palate of action words can help a writer set the tone of a scene, or connect the reader to a character’s emotions. I find myself flipping through my thesaurus or searching the web for a better way of saying what’s in my head.
