Many times, the first page can make or break a manuscript’s chances of being read by an agent or editor. Same is true for writing competitions such as Pitch Wars. If your first page doesn’t grab their attention, they won’t take the time to dive deeper into your story.
With this in mind, the Middle Grade Mafia will be accepting first pages (or 200 words) of your manuscript for our first impression feedback. All submissions must be written for the MG audience and unpublished. The Mafia family will read through and provide our honest critique in hopes that we will increase your chances to have your story be noticed.
To have us review your work, use our “Contact the Don” page to paste your first page, or 200 words and hit submit. We will be accepting submissions Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15. You will receive your feedback no later than July 25th.
